Day 20: Sketch.

For work today, I ran some errands out and about the borough of Hackney by where I work. I ended up stopping in a small cafe called Common E2 for a panini and a cookie. I've just realized how boring it must be to just see a blog of the food I eat each day, but then I remember that food is delicious, and eating is basically all I've been doing so....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIDGET!!!

What better way to celebrate a 21st birthday than buying the b-day girl her favorite mixed drink in a small can. Gin & Tonic to be exact. We bought the birthday girl a delicious cake from the bakery around the corner that we always go to. Her cake is actually just 50 meringues piled together for a taste of heaven on earth. No big deal.

We wanted to go to Sketch for the special occasion, and this was a pretty big deal. Sketch is one of the most instagrammed restaurants in London due to its unique interior design, so we decided the food must be just as good as the ambience. It was a French & Russian (maybe) cuisine restaurant, and the room we reserved was PINK. Yeah, it was awesome. This place was so nice that if you cancel your reservation, you get charged £30 a person... Luckily we didn't cancel because we were ready for an amazing night :-)
I had duck for the first time tonight. Go big or go home, right?

Also, check out this bathroom.... we had a party in poddies. There wasn't even men & women bathrooms, just a room we walked into that had pods like so to use the toilet. Strange, but so freakin' cute if you ask me.

Sketch is the coolest restaurant in London. Very expensive, but worth the experience for sure! We ended the night at the XOYO club. The DJ was hot.

CHEERS!
